Overwhelming fermented smell

I like how defined my curls were after using this hair mask. But I can't say I've noticed my hair feeling any stronger. It did look shiny. I wish it had more slip and more detangling properties. The smell was overwhelming and unpleasant though. It smells fermented or alcoholic. It was really not good and I think it should be changed
