Crunchy hair :/

Am in search for a hair wavy spray for my fine straight/wavy hair, I had high hopes for OUAI texturizing wavy spray. Unfortunately it made my hair feel crunchy and tangled, maybe using a leave in conditioner prior to the texture spray would be better?! I’m still going to use the product as I don’t mind the smell. Any recommendations for a product to help hold my natural waves

Left my hair crunchy unfortunately. I wish product developers understood that women want soft hair! Note that I also found the smell very strong in a perfume sort of way.
