A big miss for my colored hair

I kind of regret buying this shampoo and its accompanying conditioner. It cleanses well enough, but it is actually not all that great at preserving my hair color (dark-brown/black hair color). I am sensitive to most of the chemicals in permanent hair dyes, so I usually use semi-permanent hair dyes. This shampoo, despite being marketed as "color-safe," actually slightly strips my hair of the hair dye. Therefore, I can only use this between hair coloring, which defeats the purpose of this shampoo, which is very annoying because I have come other shampoos for non-color days that are a fraction of the price and equally effective in cleansing my hair and still leaving it soft and smooth. Additionally, I am not a fan of the scent. A bit too chemically for me.
