Nicely product, but leaks a lot for no reason

I loved this product! I ended up sticking it in my vanity instead of my purse because it was my first time using this and I know a lot of lip products can end up leaking. I had this standing upright in my vanity and halfway through it started leaking, which I’m really confused about because I’ve never even laid it down on its side
