What on earth did they put in this formula...

The formula feels completely unbalanced. The brush is actually pretty nice but this's 1st mascara that’s ever given me an allergic reaction like itching, discomfort throughout the day, and that constant urge to rinse my eyes. To make matters worse, it starts smudging within an hour of application. I even tried setting it with powder, but no luck. I’m honestly so disappointed. This was my first time trying a high-end mascara, and thank goodness it came as a sample cause I will never repurchase.
