Drying out issue

I used it only once, and it dried out before I could use it again. I know it says to store it with the point down, or it will dry out. They need to fix it so it doesn't dry out. There are times when we're in a rush and may forget to set it down correctly, which is apparently what I must have done. Waste of money.
