It’s Nice, But…
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, I tried Sephora’s “love the lift” mascara. It’s really a mixed bag for me, as there are things that I love and detest about this product. Some of the pros of this are as follows: it’s definitely pigmented, it does give nice lift to the lashes, and it does give the lashes a bit of a curl—as well as a bit of length. But, there are a few cons I want to address: it dries down so fast that it’s hard to properly layer the product. While I love a dry formula for mascara, this one is a bit too dry. The wand is another issue. While it fits the shape of my eye easily, it doesn’t quite grip the lashes as well as I would like. Also, let’s talk about lasting power. I live in the South, and it’s already getting humid down here. This product smudges easily, so a waterproof version would be ideal for me. Also, while it does curl and lift, the lashes don’t stay that way. I lose the lifting effect after about an hour or so into wear time. Also, there’s a significant amount of flaking going on. I don’t wear mascara on my lower lashes, but I had so many little black specks under my eyes from this formula. Suffice it to say that this is an okay formula, but definitely not Sephora’s best work.

Love this new addition to my bag!

It’s a great mascara that delivers beautiful lift and volume without any clumping, which can be hard to find. It stays in place all day without smudging or flaking, even through long wear. I also appreciate how easily it washes off at the end of the day without needing to scrub or use heavy removers. The price point is amazing for the quality you get, making it a fantastic value.
