Perfect shade match

Redhead with freckles. Vanilla shade is a perfect match. It’s very hard to find a true nuetral that balances the cool skin with the warm freckles and this shade manages that. I’m over 40, and in the last two years I’ve found that my skin just doesn’t like foundation anymore (plus it’s so hard to find a good shade match). So instead, I use this for coverage around my nose, chin, and between my brows. I also use it as an eye primer and a little under my eyes. It’s thick enough to give good coverage but still creamy and blendable. I used to use the MAC Studio Fix Concealer in the pot, and that formula was much tackier — almost like spackle for heavy-duty coverage. I do miss that sometimes, but this one is creamier and thinner than the old MAC Studio Fix and gives me a much better color match. MAC shades always ran too orange or yellow on me. I do think this product needs to be set with powder since it’s very creamy, and I have oily skin, so most products need setting anyway. For under-eyes, I use the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in the tube along with the L’Oréal Age Rewind in the 160 Pink Brightener shade.
