Total shade update fail

It was not clear to me at all that this product has changed as much as it has. I’ve been wearing MAC Studio Fix NC25 powder since 2009, so without a second glance I picked up a new one only to discover when I went to use it that it’s a completely different shade and finish now. I don’t understand why they even changed it, and why they didn’t just market this as a new product. I’m really disappointed I wasted my money it.
