Loved Unlocked, heavily disliked Caution.

I got the value pack— have been using the Hourglass Unlocked for a while now, and I love that it lengthens without clumping, doesn’t flake or smudge, and is easy to take off at the end of the day. Honestly, dream mascara. Some reviews mention that the packaging is wonky, which I’ve also experienced (where the stopper gets loose, and the wand comes out a gloppy mess)… but after multiple tubes, I’ve found an easy fix: if you get the gloppy mess, screw the top on quite hard to lock the stopper down, then unscrew the top until the packaging starts working again… thereafter (once the mascara packaging is working again), be careful not to screw the top on super tight, and the stopper should remain in place just fine. My problem is the Caution mascara… To be fair, I think there are folks out there who would love it: if you like spiky lashes with drama and tons of volume. The formula is drier, the brush is massive. Despite having oily eyelids and monolids, I don’t think the formula flaked. However, I DON’T like clumpy, spiky dramatic lashes, and I don’t like the fake lash look— I so prefer the fanned out, fluttery, lengthened lashes that the Unlocked gives me. So… I’m about to throw out a tube of perfectly fine mascara after a week of use, and it’s kind of a huge disappointment. I’ll be going back to just buying the single Unlocked Instant Extensions mascara, not the caution/unlocked two pack. :(
