Unimpressed

I wasn't impressed with this product. It was sticky, and not the texture I expected. It has absorbed but my skin has gone greasy - and I normally have very dry skin. The packaging also states for full protection it has to be reapplied every two hours, which is not going to happen with a full face of makeup. I chose not to wear makeup today to see how it went. I kept it away from my eyes, but I did rub my eyes later in the morning and it immediately caused my eyes to sting and continually water. I've now been wearing it for one full work day and I've broke out with 5 new spots. I have a consistent skincare routine so this shouldn't happen. Unimpressed and won't be using it again.

Severely irritated my skin and caused bumps

After using the product for just a few days, my skin developed hundreds of tiny, skin-colored bumps that were extremely itchy and caused a burning sensation. I stopped using it after three days (after realizing that the sunscreen was causing this reaction since it was the only new product I started using), but I'm still dealing with the irritation and bumps days later. I've used several other products from The Ordinary without any issues, so this reaction was completely unexpected and honestly quite alarming. I've also never had sensitive skin or experienced reactions to skincare products before, which is why this was so concerning. After experiencing this reaction, I started reading other reviews and was surprised to find that a number of people reported very similar symptoms. I hope that The Ordinary will look into this.
