A Fragrance I Fell Out of Love With

I really wanted to love Matière Première Vanilla Powder, especially because I had tried it in store a few months ago and genuinely liked it. Unfortunately, when I purchased the full-size bottle recently, it just didn’t smell the same on my skin. For me, it came across much more masculine than I expected, with an almost old-fashioned, vintage quality that I personally didn’t enjoy. The dry-down was especially different from what I remembered, and it simply didn’t sit well on my skin this time around. Sadly, I ended up returning the full-size bottle. It’s a good reminder that even when you love a fragrance on a first try, always test it again on your own skin before committing to a full bottle.

Vanilla all the way

Elegant vanilla smell … I didn’t like Kylie vanilla but this sets really nice. Will repurchase for sure.
