Unsure about this for my skin

I haven't used it for long but first time I tried it, my face immediately had a red flush in my cheeks. Every time I use it, my cheeks still get red. And I've only tried it 3 times so unsure whether I should try and see if I'll adjust to it or should return. Is this a normal side effect?
