Strong smell, lifts foundation, disappointing

I added the Saie Glowy Super Gel in Warm Glow to my cart as a free reward after seeing all the hype and the Allure award, especially since I’m running low on my Smashbox x Becca Moonstone highlighter. First impression: the smell is surprisingly strong. Even with just one small pump, it felt overpowering and honestly off-putting for a product going on my face. It does give a subtle, dewy shimmer, but I had issues with how it performed over makeup. When I tried applying it to my cheekbones as a highlighter, it actually lifted and disrupted my foundation underneath, leaving patchy spots. I’m using a cushion foundation, so maybe it’s a formula mismatch, but it didn’t layer well at all. Overall, I’m disappointed. Between the strong scent and the way it messed with my base, it didn’t live up to the hype for me. This also made me a bit more skeptical of beauty awards—they don’t always reflect real-life performance.
