Quality control issues

I ordered the Wish and Love palettes. Immediately upon arrival, the Love palette hangs open at the hinge much farther than my Wish and Deer palettes. This causes the palette to flop over and will not sit flat. Since they are made of tin, this leads to a precarious time when using the palette as it is slippery and will spin and slide upon setting it down or loading your brush. There are examples online of those who do and do not have this issue with their Love palette, so they are not all the same. I provided feedback to Hourglass, suggesting they check for this in their future quality controls. They responded that this is not a defect as they were designed this way which is confusing to me as a consumer....
