Made my face covered in tiny rough bumps

I've used TONS of different cleansers, but this was the first one I've used that I actually had a reaction to. After using it for around 4-5 days, I got a bunch of tiny little rough bumps all over my cheeks and my face was SO itchy. Once I stopped using it, my face peeled like crazy, and eventually the bumps went away. Guess this dried my face out too much? Which is weird cause I have oily skin, so I can usually get away with using cleansers that really strip my skin barrier. Don't want to say that the product is all bad; not everyone will have the same reaction. I personally just didn't have a good experience from it. It does smell nice, sort of like green vegetables/grass/refreshing scent, and it lathers very well. Glass bottle is a bit annoying for getting the product out when you've used more than half of the product.
