Love the color and texture, but is it supposed to be separated?

I got this just last week and while I usually love BB creams and do love kosas products, this seems off. The product is separated.. like there’s a watery substance that is not mixed with the color so it comes out in 2 forms and not mixing well. Not sure if this is normal or maybe I got an old product.

Smells rancid doesn’t blend

Smells awful. Does not blend at all. It doesn’t grip or sink into the skin and takes way too much work to get it on evenly. Smells rancid.
