First Hourglass Product - I’m impressed

I’ve been eyeing hourglass for a bit but wasn’t sure what to get. This palette seemed like a good choice as I wanted to explore the blushes, highlighters, and finishing powder that they’re famous for. I’ll say that I’m not a fan of the bronzer but it’s because I prefer a warmer shade. I can’t get over how gorgeous the finishing powder is!! The blushes are beautiful and the highlighter is nice too. Really glad I decided to try this. It’s absolutely going to be a go to in my routine.

Disappointed

I have been avidly buying Hourglass holiday palettes for years and this one finally has me considering quitting the tradition. Is this a bad palette? No. Is it a good value? At this price point absolutely no. The blushes look dry with glitters that are visible on the cheek. The highlighter is not ethereal and sophisticated compared to previous years either. Bronzer is nice but not worth spending on a whole palette for. This is just another pink palette but I prefer other shades already in the line like sublime flush and previous years. The packaging does feel nice…. But it is boring. Honestly I’m likely going to return. I love my YSL light palette in comparison that offers distinct colors/textures and highlights that are creamy and look beautiful on the cheeks and eyes. It makes me excited to use it and I haven’t touched my Love palette since it arrived.
