Formula does not work well with packaging
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a stylist, I enjoy trying out new products that I feel will help me create the makeup looks I dream of. The Sephora Collection Colorful Face Palette consist of four shades for bronzing, blushing and highlighting the face and has a beautiful finish on the skin. I received this in tan-deep and tested it on my fair-light skin and highly recommend getting this in the correct color range. While these are very pigmented, I was able to blend them out with a bit of work to make these shades look okay on my skin. The formulations of these shades are really nice, and after ten hours, my makeup looked the same as when I applied it. I also tested the shades as eyeshadow and this lasted on my eyes all day as well without creasing. I do feel the bronzer shade would be a bit light for anyone in the deep range, as I made it work for fair skin, and I would recommend swatching in person to see if the shades would work for you. Unfortunately, the formulation of this palette is too soft for the packaging design, as the first one I received, the product had broken up inside and needed a replacement. When I dip my brush or finger into this palette, so much product gets kicked up and I could easily push this out of place with the lightest of touch. I do not recommend traveling with this product and I believe this needs to be stored flat. I also do not recommend if you are hard on your makeup or tend to drop things as this will not survive a fall or rough handling. I would love a different palette design that does not include the mounds and a gapping palette enclosure to minimize the likelihood of damage to the product. I really like the formula and ease of use with this product, but I would be hesitant to purchase especially if you are not in store where you could check for any issues. I received this product as part of a promotion.
