Good acne oil

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The storage was great. The smell was a little strong for me. I did use on my face and didn’t notice some redness. I am willing to try again to see if this would help with any acne coming up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Alright, let’s get into it! So, I was lucky enough to receive the e.l.f. SKIN PLZ Clarify Facial Oil for free in exchange for my honest thoughts, and as someone with combination skin that’s prone to the occasional breakout, I was really curious to try a "clarifying" oil. First off, the value here is solid. You get a pretty nice-sized bottle, and a little really does go a long way for sure. The dropper is a great touch - makes it easy to control how much you’re using without any mess. As for performance, I have mixed feelings. On the plus side, it didn’t irritate my active breakouts at all, which is a huge win! After using it, my skin didn’t freak out, and I noticed a slight calming effect on redness. So, props for that. But here’s where it got a bit meh for me. The smell is… very chemically. However, the bigger issue for me was the texture. Despite it being non-comedogenic, it felt pretty greasy going on. I had to really pat it in and then honestly, just wait. It took quite a while to fully soak into my skin. I’d say there was a definite residue for a good 10-15 minutes where my face just felt a bit slick. If you’re applying before bed, it’s probably fine, but for a morning routine, it throws off your timing before makeup. Overall, I didn’t fall head-over-heels in love with this product. The absorption time and that chemical smell held me back from truly enjoying it. But, it was a nice, gentle addition to my skincare routine.
