Effective, but a heavy tobacco like smell

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] SaltandStone is easily becoming my favorite deodorant brand. I love the variety of scents the deodorants come in and was excited to try the Saffron and Cedar. Unfortunately, from a scent aspect it was terrible. As a deodorant, it’s very effective and I didn’t notice any body odor or sweat smell. However, the scent is very heavy and smells like tobacco. Other cedar type smells have a more woody smell to them, which I love, but this one is just very off putting. I tend to be somewhat sensitive to scents and love citrus, floral or fresh scents. I also love woody type scents in my house, but absolutely hate the smell of tobacco and this is what this deodorant smells like to me. Of course, scent is subjective and I’m sure there are people who will love it, but that’s just not me. On the plus side, this is aluminum free and while it does contain baking soda I didn’t notice any skin reaction. I typically do get some sensitivity with baking soda, but that didn’t happen here. Overall, while the deodorant is effective, I just can’t get past the awful heavy tobacco smell.
