Smell rich

My wife give me this perfume as a birthday gift. I was surprised by the number of hours it keep smelling good . I 100 % recommend this Valentino for men you will thank me later

The lesser known, black bottle...

Valentino Uomo Intense is seldom brought up and that's too bad. It's un underdog. If more people knew about it, I guarantee there would be big hype around it. It's actually one of my most complimented fragrances that I own. Powdery, iris, and vanilla, with an earthy background to it of leather, tonka, and patchouli. This has that ever-so-slight 'makeup bag' or lipstick essence to it, but not in an off-putting way. It's elegant with still maintaining itself as being a men's fragrance. The last time I wore it,I had two guys compliment it, which I think is kinda cool. There's another fragrance on the market that is similar that we'll call "DHI." Despite that being very popular, I smelled both side by side and thought this was the much better purchase. For me, it's easier to like and more appealing. This, I think, has just had much less marketing because everyone is focused on the Born in Roma line, and this isn't that. Uomo Intense lasts 8+ hours and maintains a strong projection throughout. Not suitable for the summertime, but bring this out in the fall and run it through early spring and you'll be turning heads. Iris can be a hard note for some to appreciate. It's the 'makeup' note that is understandably not for everyone. I feel like the more I've matured through my fragrance journey that I've really grown to realize how likeable it is to those you pass by. This is all subjective, but I think it's one of Valentino's best fragrances. Definitely not a blind-buy, but one I think everyone needs to try. I think you just might be surprised with this one.
