Lovely Smell, Straw like Feel

I have tight type 4 hair. I love the smell of this. And when I put it on, it instantly hydrates my hair, as if my hair is soaking up all the water. Yet, 3 hours later, my hair is crispy and dry like crazy! I bought the mini and the full just to be sure. I completely finished the mini so I can assure you I tried it many times. I tried it immediately after washing, remoisturizing my hair during the week, I also tried various sealing methods with oils and butters, even with their own hydro rush oil which I also bought. Every time, my hair was dry and CRISPY after. I can deal with my hair being dry, even though usually it's at least 10-24 hours before my hair is dry again after moisturizing but feeling like straw?! Absolutely not. So sadly, I had to return my full size. I wish it worked because as I said, I love the smell and how it feels instantly but it doesn't work for me.
