Sophisticated. Professional. Just not Profumo.

I was expecting a bit more from this fragrance. Being top-tier of the Acqua di Gio line, it's got some big shoes to fill. I've tried them all, every variety... I think anyway. Elixir falls closer to the top than the bottom. It's very subtle, which is always nice. It's also long-lasting which is another plus. The only problem is, it's NOT Profumo. I can't fathom why they would discontinue one of the best, most sought-after fragrances... especially in the Acqua di Gio line. Elixir doesn't hold a candle to Profumo, but it's still a very good product. But I think for my next Acqua purchase I'd opt either for the Profondo or the Parfum options.
