The amber note is the strongest and projects the best. I personally love it, more so for my boyfriend though than myself. It lasts on clothes and skin for at least 8 hours. It is very warm and homey. To me, this goes well in winter and with a fancier occasion. It is woody and smooth. It doesn’t make skin feel sticky after using. Personally, we love this addition to our scents. PERFECT WINTER SCENT!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Jo Malone’s Amber Labdanum is perfect for the colder, winter months. I know and love amber, but had never heard of labdanum, so I looked it up. It’s a resin, which makes total sense after you smell it. This is a high-end perfume, so a spray or maybe two is all you need. Once it dries down, you really get the complexity of it. In the bottle it is a strong, and perhaps overwhelming scent. Other reviews mention this. It is meant to be worn on the skin though, not smelled out of the bottle. When you spray it on your skin and let it dry, it changes completely. This is what you are looking for, because who cares what it smells like in the bottle? I sprayed it once on my wrist and rubbed them together- and that is it. I tried this in the morning and on different days depending on the temperature outside. Once it dries, it becomes so beautiful. I smell pine, amber, a bit of black pepper, orange, and smoke. It is lovely. I think the other reviews that didn’t like it were probably spraying it 5-6 times over their heads like people tend to do with regular, less expensive fragrances. This is not one of those-it is art in a bottle. This is not a scent that was thrown together to add to a line up for sales. The creator intentionally mixed these scents and layered them with love.
