Too hard to use on eyes

I was very excited when I saw this amazing colour amethyst. But I cannot get it to paint on my eye area with the intensity in the photos. I press as hard as possible but my lids obviously are soft and I can't get more than a slight bit of colour painted on. Its too hard and crumbley and I just seem to lose more pencil each time in crunks. Do I need to heat it maybe or do something else?

Did nothing

I have just bought the beige eyeliner for use on the waterline to open the eye a little but I can honestly say it's pointless. There is no difference at all with using the product. It barely has any colour transfer onto the eye, I'm very dissapointed as my other clinique eye liners are fantastic
