A Great Alternative for Acne Prone Tret Lovers!

Let me preface that i was on a high strength prescription retinoid for about a year prior to using this product, so I am an experinced retinol user. What can I say, this is the closest ur gonna get to Retin A results in Canada OTC! I used this product on its own (with moisturizer, a bit of HA, and sunscreen of course) for about two months and it kept my raging hormonal acne at bay, kept my skin smooth, kept my skin tone relatively even, and eve. helped a bit with acne marks too (I've got richly melanated skin). Of course, this isn't the same or as effective as tret, or my holy grail, tazarotene, but its close, and really helped to manage my hormomal acne. I'm also pretty acid averse, and never use acids as they've always irritated my skin, so retinoids are my first line of defense for my highly sentitive, acne prone, oily skin. This product did not irritate my skin (coming from someone with really sensitive skin; can'teven use SA), and I only experinced mild dryness (could also be that I used it in a dry winter climate). I would defo recommend this product for acne prone skin, and don't listen to the haters, start slow, do as much as your skin can handle (I got to the point I was using it every other day to daily just fine), and MOISTURIZE. Listen, most people reach for SA and other acids, not knowing that retinoids work deeper and are much more effective (according to my personal experince and my derms opinion). Don't knock it til you try it, I found my fav acne product. And if you're reading about those who got irritated, remember, this is for experinced retinoid users only. Side note: I got an extra tube for my mum, 50+ mature dry skin, and also an experinced retinoid user. She loved it too, almost more than her high end stuff!
