⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5 – Gorgeous Color, But Too Drying

I really wanted to love the Makeup by Mario Lip Suede — the shade I chose was absolutely beautiful and complemented my skin tone perfectly (especially for combination tones). The color payoff was rich and flattering. However, the formula ended up being too drying for my lips. After a short time of wearing it, my lips started to feel tight and eventually became quite flaky. I didn’t expect that from a product called “Lip Suede,” which sounds like it would be creamy or velvety. It might work better with a thick balm underneath, but on its own, it just wasn’t hydrating enough for me. If you have sensitive or dry lips, proceed with caution.
