Sensitive skin reaction, caused burning & redness

I wish I'd read the reviews before buying... Unfortunately I had the dreaded skin burn reaction to this product. I have sensitive skin that has flared up to harsh products in the past, however I've never had a reaction to any other AB products so hadn't considered that the Essence might be any different. Within less than a minute of applying the product my skin started to feel a burning sensation and painful to touch. Despite washing it off almost immediately, I developed very painful, bright red blotchy skin all over my face, which didn't subside for nearly two hours. As I said, I've never experienced any negative side effects with any of their other products so assume this was a skin sensitivity issue - definitely recommend trying on a small patch of skin before your full face if you also have sensitive skin!!

The Essence

The Essence has been a staple of mine for many years. I don't think I could start a day without it. The best of any I've ever tried. Love it!
