Very unique product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Woody Oak Layering Balm seems to have very mixed opinions online. It's definitely a "love it or leave it" scent and it's totally down to personal preference. The scent type is "earthy greens and herbs" and the key notes are patchouli, oakmoss, and dry woods. The layering balms (there are four total) are designed to be worn alone, mixed together, or combined with the Rare perfume. The balm blends into the skin very quickly and isn't sticky or greasy at all. If you don't like patchouli and woody/earthy scents, I would say give this one a pass. I found myself surprisingly in love with it, however. And there's a specific reason why - to me it is very reminiscent of the men's popular cologne from the 80s in the green glass bottle. (Think of a sport played on a horse with a mallet...) I immediately flashed back to junior high crushes and splashing myself with it at the men's fragrance counter on a Saturday afternoon at the mall. Woody is definitely a unisex scent and the balm tube is easy to toss in your makeup bag and go. I look forward to trying the other layering balms when I can find them in stock!

A must for new perfume layering!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What can I say. I absolutely love, love, this fragrance. I put on first the Peony Blossom Fragrance Balm on my pulse points and on my neck. Let it dryndown a couple of seconds and apply the perfume. It gives off such a beautiful smell. I can smell vanilla, dark amber smell to along with the penoies once it dries down. It does last a good bit of the day and I do need to reapply. This is honestly my new go to fragrance!
