Weird and yet soooooo good!!
Okay, so...I don't think I have ever left a review on something, but I simply need to pop on here and do my best explain this weird and wonderful perfume. First and foremost, I can see how the name/branding has mislead many a nose on here. I personally went in expecting something similar to Cheirosa 62, with maybe more of a lactonic take, But it most certainly is NOT that (pairs nicely with it though!) Everyone who says the opening on this is odd is 100% correct! It hit's you with this really intense lipstick/cosmetic/ sort of marzipan(almond)-esq scent right away, and with the name "Pistachio Gelato" I can see how someone would be immediately turned off. (I personally quite like this strange opening, as it smells a lot like the lipsticks my grandmother had in her makeup bag that I use to play with as a kid, so I have a fondness for it.) But it's the dry-down where the ~magic~ happens. It goes sweet and a little boozy and nutty! it is such an Amaretto/Sugar/Nutty powerhouse, It's really amazing how much this one changes over time. It still wont be for everyone, of course; but I really encourage you to give it a wear test and really experience the way this evolves. It's also super unique when stacked against so many of the other designer scents available-So if you like the idea of something different I would definitely give this once a chance!
