More of a grippy toner vs. a true "primer"

I view this almost more as a skincare product to layer and add tuermeric into my existing toner / serum stack... it does have a very vaguely grippy finish, so I suppose from that angle it can call itself a "primer", but if you're looking for a true primer (e.g. pore-smoothing) this is a watery consistency that you'll need to layer something else on top of. I plan on keeping it but need to purchase a thicker more traditional primer to put on top of it.
