Wooden casing produces sharp shards that poke eyes

There’s nothing redeeming about this pencil. I’m trying to find the silver lining, but there is none. The pencil is very brittle. It breaks off super easily. It’s difficult to sharpen and a lot of the product ends up becoming wasted from breaking off so frequently. The product also shrinks while it’s in the wooden casing, producing very sharp and jagged edges that you can’t get rid of - please look at my picture for reference. don’t know how many times I’ve accidentally poked my eyes out from these shards. I gave up after the third try and tossed it. The handful of times I was able to apply it, it absolutely did smudge. I had raccoon eyes every time. If you line your lower lid, expect it to sweat off and give you a black eye.
