Not for me

So disappointed in this new version of what was one of my favourite hair products. I can't stand the smell and it makes me cough. I've also tried the new versions of the other products in this range, and am very dissatisfied. What a shame! I'd never used anything else.

Don't understand the point of this

I reluctantly bought this at the same time as the new 'improved' (and no, it isn't, it's so much worse than the old formula) be curly curl enhancer cream, as the Aveda rep told me it was an essential part of the process. As far as I can tell this primer is just a way to fleece you into buying an unnecessary extra product. I've used it both as advised with the enhancer cream, and alone (and have used the enhancer cream alone to complete the scientific experimentation!) and I don't see the point of it. It makes my hair dry and matted and completely dulls any shine, as well as not helping to combat frizz or enhance my waves. It does smell delicious, but you could spend the money on a fancy scented candle which would smell just as nice and probably actually be better for your hair. I'm so disappointed that Aveda has changed the formula of their curl styling products - the previous be curly cream was perfect. Don't waste your money.
