Shine? Hydration?? What am I missing here...

This went on dry, pasty and like a crayon dragging on my lips. I don't have good luck w/this brand I guess since it's the only other MAC one I road tested recently. That one was a matte finish which looked horrible and drying. Sadly this seemed as matte as that one. No shine or luster, simply dry in texture and without any slip. Def wasn't what I expected from something that has the words sheeer-shine and "luster" in its name. All I ever use are lip products which actually meet such a description. The color was also quite faint, and I didn't want to tug on any more product because the tacky heavy texture with a small amount proved this to be a no-go from the start.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use lipstick occasionally and appreciated MAC's lustreglass sheer-shine lipstick was easy to use. It glided on smoothly and was long lasting. Although it keep my lips relatively moisturized, my lips can get more dry or chapped at times and I had to add another moisturizer on top of this lipstick. However, I really liked the color and ease of use and would purchase this again. I received this product for free from MAC Cosmetics for testing and review purposes.
