Applicator leaves clumps and smudges

I looove the shade and the formula, but wow this applicator is bad! Every day I wake up and feel like I'm playing brow roulette with a 70% chance I'll end up with a big clump of this somewhere on my brows that I then have to go wash off. I feel like I'm in one of those videos of a toddler getting into mom's makeup and doing the worst job of applying it. I'm on a budget so I'm determined to use the whole bottle but they really need a different applicator.

Hate the new version

I have been buying and absolutely loved the older version of this in the Caramel color. I absolutely hate the new packaging with the smaller application wond and on top of that the formulation seem to have changed as the color is darker than the prior product.
