Not For Me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a sample of this product and was excited to try a new retinol serum. Unfortunately, my skin had a very different reaction than expected. By the third night, my face became extremely itchy and I developed painful, cystic-looking breakouts around my mouth and jawline — shocking, especially since I’ve always had low-maintenance skin. I washed it off immediately. When I tried it once more the next night, the irritation returned and spread, so I stopped using it altogether. Three weeks later, I’m still dealing with the aftermath. While it’s slowly improving with cool compresses and a cream recommended by my doctor, this product did not agree with my skin. I strongly recommend patch testing and proceeding with caution, especially if you’re new to retinol or have sensitive skin.
