The smell is kinda strong, it can be a bit overpowering. Its not so much smell of coffee itself, but more of sweet chocolate cookie dipped into coffee. The color payoff is very nice, you can build it up to be more intense or it can be very thin and barely noticeable. The formula is smooth and silky, surprisingly nourishing and long lasting. I also like the new applicator
