DO NOT BUY NORMCORE - EXTREME HAIR LOSS & DAMAGE

My hairstylist recommended Amika Normcore products, and I loved the packaging, colors, and how they made my hair feel at the salon. During a 30% sale in late April 2025, I purchased the large size shampoo, conditioner, and Soulfood deep conditioning treatment. After 2-3 months, my hair started shedding excessively. CLUMPS came out with each wash and when gently brushing with my wetbrush. My husband noticed the hair filling our trash basket. I became terrified to wash my hair more than twice weekly. I desperately tried everything: rosemary oil, dermatologist hair serums, red light therapy, and contacted my OB-GYN for hormone testing (though I'm very healthy, work out regularly, don't drink, and work with a functional nutritionist to maintain balanced hormones). Nothing helped. Even gently running my fingers through my hair causes multiple strands to fall out. My stress is through the roof—I can see my scalp and have lost approximately 2/3 of my hair volume in 5 months. My normally straight, glossy hair is now dry, brittle, and breaking constantly. Finally, I Googled "Amika Normcore Hair Loss" and found countless similar stories. I immediately removed it from my shower and switched back to Pantene, which I used for years without issues. I'm shocked there hasn't been a class-action lawsuit. The stress and horror of watching your hair fall out in clumps is devastating. I hope switching products will restore my hair health over the next six months. DO NOT BUY AMIKA NORMCORE, regardless of how nice it smells. This has been a nightmare experience.

Great product, one of the only things I can find that actually makes my hair feel clean and not weighed down.
