What am I missing

I hear nothing but good things about this, I was so excited to try it and wanted to love it. I would say my skin type is normal. Not oily or dry. No matter how I prep my skin or the setting powder/spray I use, my skin looks awful. I have to set it otherwise I look like I dipped my face in a grease trap. Then in a couple hours it’s settled in fine lines that I didn’t even know I have. Which is odd considering I get Botox so my skin is pretty smoothed out. I gave it 2 stars bc the coverage is impressive for a skin tint. But I just don’t know what I’m missing here. It seems to work for everyone but me so I’ll just stick to my k-beauty erborian cc creme.

The coverage is perfect. Barely sticky during application. I literally kept tapping in the same area and rotating my face under the light because it literally blended seamlessly into my skin. The shine that many online creators complained about, wasn’t a thing for me. It didn’t look overly shiny, in my opinion. I simply noticed a somewhat dewy glow/finish.
