Vanilla Bonbon — Don’t Blind-Buy

I love vanilla-scented stuff and enjoy the Ole Henriksen lip balm formula. So when Vanilla Bonbon was released I ordered it as soon as I could. Unfortunately for me, I kind of regret not smelling this in-store first. The vanilla of this is…odd. It’s a sweet vanilla yogurt with perfumey floral/fruity undertones. Together the notes remind me of scented wax beads or a cheap candle. Which to me isn’t unbearable, I just would’ve preferred unscented over this odd vanilla. Compared to my current tubes of Crème Brûlèe and Cocoa Crème, Vanilla Bonbon’s formula isn’t as thick or sticky. The moisturization power is still top-tier despite the lighter weight texture.

nauseating, artificial smell

I don't understand how people like the smell of these. They are over poweringly sweet and artificial, so much so that I can't get past the scent to purchase it, and I'm not sensitive to scents- just cheap ones
