So calming!

I've been adding 1 drop of the Pycnogenol serum to my nighttime moisturizer for about the last two weeks and even within the first week, I could tell this was making a difference in the reactivity of my skin. I have rosacea and this is definitely helping keep my skin to stay calm and even with way less flaring. Where most of my favorite calming/soothing products are cooling and refreshing, Pycnogenol feels like a soft, cozy blanket. I am really loving it and looking forward to see the longterm benefits.

I’m not sure I understand what this product is…

I’m not really sure what this product actually is. It’s sold as “Pycnogenol”, but the ingredients actually say it’s “Propanediol”. These are two completely different products. From ChatGPT… propanediol and pycnogenol are not the same. Propanediol is a moisturizing and emollient ingredient, while pycnogenol is an antioxidant derived from the bark of French maritime pines that helps protect the skin from damage. Propanediol Type: Organic compound, often used as a solvent and moisturizer. Function: Softens, hydrates, and smooths the skin. It is derived from corn or petroleum and is considered safe for most skin types. Properties: Non-irritating, biodegradable, and helps reduce skin sensitivity. Pycnogenol Type: Natural plant extract from the bark of French maritime pines. Function: Acts as a potent antioxidant, protecting the skin from free radical damage and improving hydration and elasticity. Properties: Contains procyanidins and phenolic acids, known for their anti-inflammatory and anti-aging benefits.
