I think there is something wrong with the product

I’ve only had for a few days. First day was great. After that I keep trying but the tip keeps breaking off then it’s jagged and hurts to apply and it just doesn’t make the line. I think maybe it’s dried out? It doesn’t seem to be creamy after first use. If I can return it and exchange that would be wonderful. I think I would prefer the pencil that you sharpen. The crayon type.
